Solution
All buildings move all of the time. This little known fact sometimes causes unnecessary worry. Cracks can appear in parts of buildings for many reasons: they are not always serious.
Sometimes nothing needs to be done at all, on other occasions the cracks need only be monitored over a period of months, or years, to establish the nature of the movement.
It is only in a small minority of rarest cases that immediate action is needed to investigate and put a stop to the movement which has caused the cracks.
