Problem

I have received a Schedule of Dilapidations. What should I do?

Solution

A Schedule of Dilapidations forms part of a claim against you for a breach of the repairing covenants in your lease (normally of a non-domestic property). This can happen either at the end of the lease or during the term.

Your liability under the lease can be reduced by negotiation with the landlord or his surveyor. You can start to do this by telephoning either Tony Kay or Dianne Green on 0114 276 7074, to discuss your options.
