Solution
Even if you do not have a written contract, there are certain standards that would normally be expected to be met. If the unsatisfactory building work was done on your home, then the only recourse may be through the appointment of a solicitor. Initial advice can, however, be obtained from a suitably qualified surveyor.
If the work has been carried out on business premises (or anywhere other than your home) then there may be alternative, quicker and cheaper means of achieving a resolution.
